Steve had lots of favorites. First and foremost, he loved nature and the outdoors. Hiking, fishing, primitive camping, canoeing and kayaking, horseback riding - these were all things that Steve enjoyed immensely. Turtles, frogs, snakes, raptors and other wildlife were fascinating to him from his very early years.

Cats were also a big favorite - especially his white cat Daisy, and more recently his fluffy and feisty cat Mickey. Steve also had two box turtles that he cared for with much love: Malley and Duncan.
